Hello, My son is ready to start his formal school. OPG is one of the schools we are considering. How would you rate it? Your feedback will help us make the right choice. Given the things mentioned on the blog it seems that the situation is really bleak.

dear friend ...keep your eyes and ears open before you comment on the improvement....let me assure you with GD Goenka coming in and the recruitment process already on ...whatever few good teachers which are left out will UNDOUBTEDLY take the new jobs ...mark my words on this and you would see results shortly. GD Goenka has already started its recruitment process.

Thank God the management is interfering. Seems like nothing was happening curriculum wise earlier. My son is doing so much better now. Is GD Goenka Dwarka an international school?I think its just a franchise.

dear all,

a new school always takes time to settle down and management is trying to put best efforts to create a good name in the market. OPG World School management is putting a lot of efforts to create one of the best team to give the right kind of education to the existing students. Steps taken in the last 3months....
1. OPG World School appointed Ms. Nidhi Lal as Academic(PYP) Coordinator and she has been putting her best efforts & international experience to create a different curriculum,as according to CAMBRIDGE curriculum.
2. The management has come up with few events not to impress the new parents but to give comfort to the existing parents, not like other schools.
3. The management wants to create a better school and i believe after 5 years one would proudly say that my ward has passed out from OPG World School.

and again it is not a normal conventional school it is on the ways on British School, DPS etc.

This is strangely funny ....Well hiring a Good Staff member without the management beliefs does not help. To CLAP you need TWO HANDS not just ONE ..unfortunately Ms Lal is the single hand as on Date.

It is Guaranteed that Ms Nidhi Lal would also feel suffocated in bureaucracy prevailing in the school , as it happened while Ms Mahajan and Ms Kalra were running the Show Excellently WELL.

- Events have just been an EYEWASH to create an emotional touch ..nothing else

- If they follow your words with Actions ..it is only then things will improve in 5 years else people will regret sending their Wards to this school even for a year...I hope they realize TWO years have already lapsed....its only 3 years remaining.

- What is the consistency of students ...how many students have left OPG ?

It is very strange to see comments that are sooooo negetive about a school. Are there some personal issues between some parents and the school?

Anonymous said...

OPG does seem to have suffered some setbacks but seems like things are not bleak as some here feel. Why would a school pay for a Cambridge accreditation if it did not want an international education? And why get someone with international curriculum exposure if one can make do with a regular cbse type.I think that one needs to look at the glass half full. All new schools have teething troubles. I happen to be aware that Mrs Mahajan(such a senior person?)called all staff menbers and some parents to influence them against the school and to even look for job openings. Did we need such a person for our kids? The curriculum and the classrooms and even the children are doing great now. We should move forward.

My answer-- Anonymous-message received on 8th jan, 8pm.

FUNNY!! WHAT'S THE FUN IN IT. I THINK PEOPLE HAVE LOT OF FREE TIME TO CRITICISE THE CIRCUMSTANCES AND EFFORTS. RIGHTLY SAID IN THE NEXT MSG, IT MUST BE A PERSONAL FIGHT/ MSG SENT BY A COMPETITOR.
DEAR FRIEND THIS BLOG IS MEANT NOT TO CRITICISE THE SCHOOL BUT TO GIVE YOUR TRUE OPINION ABOUT THE SAME. I WILL END UP THIS NUISANCE WITH FAMOUS QUOTE:

“I will love the sun for it warms my bones; yet I will love the rain for it cleanses my spirit. I will love the light for it shows me the way; yet I will love the darkness for it shows me the stars. I will welcome happiness as it enlarges my heart; yet I will endure sadness for it opens my soul. I will acknowledge rewards for they are my due; yet I will welcome obstacles for they are my challenge.”
BE POSTIVE......

request the management to need not to write on the blog its for the parents...just for the information another staff resigned ...all vintage people r gone.

Anonymous said...

Hi, the comments trail does not look very promising for the school, but I also see that the comments are now about an year and a half old!!

Can someone share if they have observed any improvements?

I think school and kids in school will have a great future....as the kids in school are doing really well...their way of teaching is remarkable....learning of basics is very good, that to they teach in different ways apart from just bookish learning....i also like the way they give very a kid a chance to speak up on stage from time to time to take out the fears....My child has also learnt to eat all kinds of food...as he use to be fussy eater...teachers take good care of the children they know all weak and strong points of kids.

Please help me with the decision shall we go ahead with OPG

i feel that the school has shown a lot of improvement.....academically much better and very focussed towards children...they have only 25 children in a class... I feel it is a good upcoming school...

Hi. My daughter is in class 3 at OPG. We shifted her from GD Goenka last year to OPG. In my opinion my decision was good and i am happy that i took the right decision at the right time. At OPG i find the activities area plenty and thoroughly conducted. Academically i am very very happy. Earlier in GD Goenka my daughter used to go for tuitions since class 1 onwards. However at OPG she is more into self study. The teachers are really good and their feedback system is also very intense. I thank God..feel truly blessed!!! Ayesha

The grind for nursery admissions starts again! I feel OPG is a good option my friend. It is good academically and also focusses on extra curriculars...I am a satsafied parent.
